Every Project Begins with a Conversation
Send an email or give us a call. We will set up a convenient time for an hour's chat — a FREE confidential consultation that answers these critical questions:
- What are you creating? A novel, a self-help book, an article, a blog, business materials, a website...?
- Where are you on the journey to completion? What is done and what is hanging you up?
- What is the goal? Traditional publishing, self-publishing, don't know?
- What is your timeline? When do you hope to get this finished and 'out there'?
- How much are you budgeting for the help you need to get it finished?
Our FREE ASSESSMENT will help us determine:
- The tasks of the project where you can use some help
- If The WordWrights team is a good fit to provide the resources you need
- Should we go to the next step: prepare a Proposal
The Proposal Process
If we agree that working together might be a great idea, The WordWrights will prepare, at no cost, a proposal of work that details our understanding of what services we are recommending, including the specific scope (limits) and rates. Often the proposal will line out several options and phases consistent with your timeline. To more accurately make our proposal, we will ask you for some more information:
- A 1000 words (a chapter, say) sample of your most polished work completed
- Sometimes we might ask for the entire manuscript, as well
- An author's bio and/or resume -- including previously published titles
- Author-related social media, website, blog, and book-sales pages (Amazon, Goodreads, Smashwords, etc.)
- Complete contact information, including real name and any pen-names
Once you have the proposal, we will discuss the details and finalize just what we will work on first, and get started finishing your book!
